Very occasionally I step onto a boat and fall in love, this is one of those boats. Steel work by Dave Clark with a very competent owner fit out. Before I get started on the interior the shell has a 4” keel and a stern that resembles a Dutch barge the engine compartment and Trad stern are separated by a solid bulkhead.
Now for the interior, from the bow you enter a beautifully finished country cottage, the saloon has cream T&G ceiling with dark oak T&G sides inset with plain cream panels, free standing chairs, bookcase, wall and base display cabinets, a large solid fuel stove with back boiler to radiators. Into the galley, T&G ceiling and walls painted pale mint green which complements the pine units and includes a plate rack, larder and the all important wine rack. Onward, the first 2 of 3 side hatches followed by a privacy door that leads to the dinette, converts to double berth, with a wardrobe and dressing all finished in dark oak panels creating an intimate dining room and a private second berth. Privacy door leads to walk through bathroom, finished in pine with a large vanity unit with storage below, Thetford cassette and a full sized shower, privacy door to 3rd side hatch and aft bedroom, fabulous cross 4’6” bed, wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Bradford Oak comes complete with a full inventory, a BSC until July 2009, she was last blacked in 2006 and since her last service has only 200 hours on the engine. The engine is a Mercedes 47hp, inverter 1800 with 1 start and 4 leisure batteries. The boat is moored on the Leeds Liverpool, the owners have a busy life but are willing to show her to interested parties as long as they have prior notice and are available, please phone me, Sue, on 01270 528538 and I will be happy to make the arrangements and give directions.
